What Does XERF Treat?

XERF is designed for patients experiencing early to moderate signs of ageing, skin laxity and declining skin quality.

The most common treatments are:

Face
Skin laxity and softening, early jowls, and lower face heaviness where definition has begun to blur.

Neck
Loose or crepey skin, visible signs of ageing, and thinning texture often associated with loss of collagen and elasticity.

Jawline
Loss of structure and definition, with sagging or softening along the mandibular contour.

Under Chin
Submental fullness, skin laxity, and early development of a double chin appearance.

Body
Skin laxity and reduced firmness, including loose skin following weight loss or natural collagen decline.

What is XERF?

XERF is an advanced skin tightening and rejuvenation treatment that combines next-generation radiofrequency technology to improve skin firmness, facial definition and overall skin quality.

Originating in South Korea, XERF was developed to address one of the most common concerns in ageing skin: the gradual loss of firmness, elasticity and facial contour.

By stimulating the skin’s natural collagen and elastin production, XERF helps create tighter, firmer and more youthful-looking skin while maintaining natural facial movement and expression.

Unlike many traditional tightening treatments, XERF has been designed to target multiple layers of the skin simultaneously, allowing us to address both skin quality and structural support within a single treatment.

Why patients choose XERF

Korean beauty is trending for the right reasons: patients want collagen stimulation and natural, subtle refinements, which XERF delivers

Energy is delivered across three skin depths, so tightening and lifting are treated at the level each area needs – including the SMAS if needed

Over 30 precise settings allow our practitioners to tailor XERF to your anatomy and treatment goals

How XERF works

XERF uses monopolar radiofrequency at two frequencies, 6.78 MHz and 2 MHz, to direct heat to the right depth in your skin. That heat targets water in the tissue, which encourages the skin to produce new collagen over the following weeks.

Comfort is part of the design. A cooling system (Advanced Integrated Cryogen Delivery) and Wave Fit pulses regulate the surface temperature while the energy works beneath the surface, so the treatment feels warm rather than uncomfortable. Because there’s no numbing step, sessions are also shorter than many comparable treatments.

The depth is matched to the area:

  • Shallow pulses firm the upper face, such as the forehead.
  • Middle pulses lift and tighten the mid-face and neck.
  • Deep pulses work on looser tissue around the lower face, jowls and under the chin.

What makes XERF different

Most radiofrequency devices send energy to a single depth. XERF works at two frequencies, 6.78 MHz and 2 MHz, across three depths, so the forehead, the mid-face and the deeper tissue under the jaw can each be treated at the level that suits them in one session.

The other difference is comfort. Older RF treatments often need numbing cream first. XERF pairs its cooling system with Wave Fit pulses to manage the surface temperature as it works, so there’s no numbing step and sessions run shorter as a result.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a treatment take?

Usually 45 to 60 minutes, depending on the areas treated. How many sessions you need depends on your skin and your goals, which we’ll talk through at your consultation.

Which areas can XERF treat?

The face, neck, jawline and décolletage, as well as areas on the body. We’ll confirm what’s suitable for you at your consultation.

Is there any downtime?

No. There’s no numbing cream and no needles, so you can head straight back to your day afterwards.

Does it hurt?

It shouldn’t. Discomfort is minimal: the cooling system and Wave Fit pulses keep the surface comfortable while the energy works underneath, and most people describe the feeling as warm.

How long do results last?

Typically 12 to 18 months. Most people keep their results topped up with a session roughly every six months, so twice a year.

How often will I need treatment?

Maintenance is usually two sessions a year, around six months apart. Your practitioner will set a schedule that suits your skin.

Is XERF suitable for all skin types?

XERF adjusts to your skin in real time, so it works across a range of skin types and tones. Your consultation is where we check it’s right for you.

Is there anything I need to do before or after?

There’s no special preparation and nothing to recover from. We’ll give you any aftercare advice at your appointment.

When will I see results?

Your skin can feel tighter soon after a session, and firmness tends to improve over the following weeks as collagen rebuilds. Results vary from person to person.
