Polynucleotides (PDRNs) are ultrapure DNA fractions, which stimulate skin rejuvenation at the cellular level. They They also have an anti-free radical action, scavenging damaging OH hydroxyl radicals, which can accumulate as a result of cell damage from external pollution, stress and UV rays.
Once Polynucleotides have been filtered and purified, the DNA fractions within when expertly injected in to the mid dermis, initiate your body’s own natural fibroblast production which results in a thicker, healthier epidermis (up to 52% in 23 days) and increased collagen production (up to 47% in 23 days). Inflammation is reduced and a more youthful volume and skin hydration is restored.

No – dermal fillers are made from hyaluronic acid, which fills an area and attracts water, whereas injectable Polynucleotide serum doesn’t fill the space. It does have a moisturising effect by attracting water, but also acts as an antioxidant and an internal messenger, signalling to the dermis to grow new skin cells.
Polynucleotides represent the next generation of skin boosters. They offer the same or better results as Profhilo (made from Hyaluronic Acid), but are made from DNA fragments which stimulate fibroblasts in the skin. PDRNs also have an anti-inflammatory effect, removing free radicals from the dermis.

At Dr Medispa, we always advise that you attend a no obligation consultation, before any treatment can be agreed upon. We will examine your skin and discuss with you, your options for this treatment and where we believe it will be most beneficial to inject, whether this is a full-face rejuvenation treatment or a targeted procedure. We will also check your medical history to ensure that the treatment will be safe for you to undergo. Once this initial consultation is complete and you are happy to proceed, you can book in for your first session.
After completing some standard consent forms, you will be made comfortable in one of our treatment rooms. Your skin will be cleansed thoroughly and a topical anaesthetic, applied, for maximum comfort during the treatment. Once this has sufficiently numbed the treatment area, small injections of the Polynucleotides will be made at various points, where we feel that the Polynucleotides will benefit your skin concern. Once the treatment is complete, you can return to your daily activities, adhering to any aftercare advice, your Dr Medispa practitioner offers.
Unlike with some traditional dermal filler treatments, there is no risk of occlusion, permanent lumping, blindness or other related complications with Polynucleotides. The product is extremely pure and to date, there have been no adverse reactions to the product.
There is no clinical downtime with this treatment. However, as with any injectable procedure, you might experience some slight bruising, swelling or tenderness at the injection sites, but this should subside within a few days.
This does depend on your individual skin concerns, however, we will usually recommend 4 treatment sessions, 4 weeks apart for optimum results and then a maintenance session once every 6 to 12 months. Results should continue to improve in the months that follow your initial treatment sessions.
