Rosacea

Rosacea is a mild to severe inflammatory skin condition that affects both men and women from the age of around 30. The condition happens when certain blood vessels, usually in the facial area enlarge, causing facial redness and in some extreme cases, produces small, red, pustules (bumps). Rosacea can worsen with time if left untreated and it is often mistaken for acne or eczema.

At Dr. MediSpa in Loughton and Harley Street, London, we know about skin better than anyone and understand that rosacea is a relapsing condition and therefore needs careful management and care. We offer a range of treatments to combat this condition and prevent further outbreaks.

Rosacea Treatments

Medication – topical treatments and oral medications which reduce inflammation and clear up breakouts. These can include Finacea, Azelex (azelaic acid), Metrogel and Noritate (metronidazol). Other topical medications can include Rozex, Soolantra and Roacutaine for more severe cases.

Dye vl laser – the most advanced technology available and revered by specialists worldwide. This is the first device that emits a narrowband pulsating light source. It is an ideal treatment option for rosacea symptoms and superficial vascular lesions.
