About stretch marks
Stretch marks – also called striae – are usually associated with pregnancy, but can have other causes too.
As they can appear wherever the skin has been stretched, bodybuilders and teenage boys sometimes get stretch marks, particularly on the back or shoulders. In rare cases, stretch marks can also appear on the face.
The most common areas affected by stretch marks, however, are where fat is stored. These include the:
- abdomen
- upper arms
- breasts
- buttocks and
- thighs.
The lesions from stretch mark scarring will gradually fade, from red or purple lines to a white or silver colour, but won’t disappear completely.

iPixel laser treatment helps to reduces or removes the appearance of different marks and blemishes on the skin including stretch marks and scarring.
