Body Filler

Body filler treatment uses injectables to add volume or restore symmetry to an area on the body. It is commonly used for breasts and buttocks as an alternative to surgery.

What is body filler?

Just like dermal fillers used in the face, body filler is used to enhance, contour and volumise certain areas, and correct any asymmetry and fill any hollowing or loss of volume. Body filler is also commonly used to fill crevices such as ‘hip dips’( a dip seen when standing straight on, between the buttocks and the stomach) which many women experience but don’t particularly want to have surgical intervention to remove them. This is where body fillers are a fantastic alternative to invasive methods.

Bum filler

Body filler can be used for the buttocks for a volume enhancement, for reshaping and contouring and creation of curves, or a subtle lift. Unlike implant surgery, using fillers for this area can create a more natural and subtle appearance, and there is no significant or painful downtime.

Breast filler

DrMediSpa also uses body filler for a non-surgical breast enhancement. The filler can be injected into the breasts to correct any irregularities, contour and reshape, and add natural-looking volume or create a cleavage. Breast filler can also be administered even if someone has had previous implant surgery, to add some extra contour, increase volume or fix any hollowing or dips that may have occurred after the operation or in the years that have followed.

Before a body filler treatment can be performed here at Dr MediSpa, we will ask that you attend a no-obligation consultation, so that we can assess your individual bodily concerns and check your medical history, so that we can be sure that body fillers will not only be effective but safe for you to undergo. At this initial meeting, we can also estimate how much filler we will need to inject and the final cost for treatment. When both the surgeon and you are happy to proceed with a body filler procedure, we will invite you to make your appointment for treatment.

Which product is used for body fillers at DrMediSpa?

How long does a body filler procedure take?

Depending on the area/s to be treated and their size, this procedure can take between 1 and 2 hours to administer.

Body filler aftercare

Aftercare is very similar to having a facial dermal filler treatment. The area treated may feel slightly tender, sore, bruised or swollen for 48 to 72 hours. You will need to return to the clinic for a 2-week review to ensure everything is shaping well and the area may need to massaging to ensure the product is settling correctly. We advise no strenuous exercise, hot steam or saunas, baths, or very tight clothing to be worn for 48-72 hours, following the procedure.

How long do the results last?

Depending on your body’s response to hyaluronic acid and how quickly you metabolise your body filler, you can expect to enjoy results between 9 and 12 months. If you take care of yourself, eat healthily and don’t over-exercise, your results should last longer than if you smoke, don’t eat well and take part in excessively strenuous exercise.
