How does radiosurgery mole removal work?
Depending on the type of lesion we are treating, the RF electrode device will either have a fine needle, a wire loop or a scalpel blade. Radio waves pass through the skin to remove or re-shape the lesion. As the lesion is removed, the radiofrequency current simultaneously coagulates the area so there is no bleeding. Afterwards the area will be dressed and you will be able to go on with your normal day. You may experience some redness, soreness and swelling for a few days after the treatment but this is normal.
How do I know if I am suitable for radiosurgery to remove my skin tag, mole or thread veins?
At Dr. Medispa we will ask you to attend a pre-treatment consultation to assess your concern and to ensure you are fit and well for radiofrequency. Any moles may need pre-approval for removal from your doctor. Once we are happy that you would benefit from the treatment, we will invite you back to the clinic for treatment.
When will I see results from my radiosurgery mole removal?
Results are immediate and whether a skin lesion or thread vein you will be able to experience an improvement straight away. There will be a period of healing but this is minimal.
