How does AGE JET work?
The three states of matter are recognised as solid, liquid, and gas. Under specific conditions where additional energy is applied, a fourth state exists in which electrons move freely among the nuclei of atoms. What Are ASCE+ Exosomes?
ASCE+ exosomes effectively enhance skin texture and reduce signs of skin ageing. They consist of a freeze-dried exosome solution derived from stem cells, combined with active ingredients, to develop a patented technology that purifies the exosomes, ensuring high purity and efficacy levels. ASCE+ exosomes enhance collagen production and promote skin healing by acting as messengers that directly convey growth factors, peptides, and signalling molecules to skin cells, particularly and importantly, fibroblasts, which are vital for collagen synthesis. This communication process stimulates fibroblasts to boost collagen production, improving skin elasticity, tissue repair, and overall rejuvenation.
Exosomes are becoming a game-changer in aesthetic treatments due to their efficacy in tissue healing and rejuvenation. They also have the advantage of not requiring injection but rather topical, CO2 propulsion, plasma, or micro-needling delivery.
How are ASCE+ exosomes used with an AGE JET treatment?
Following an AGE JET treatment, ASCE+ exosomes are applied topically to the skin.
As the skin temporarily becomes better at absorbing topical applications after AGE JET, the exosomes are infused into the deeper layers of the epidermis and the uppermost layer of the dermis. Subsequently, the exosomes interact with the skin on a cellular level to repair, enhance, and rejuvenate the complexion, accelerating skin healing following the AGE JET application and promoting collagen production.
Am I suitable for treatment with AGE JET and ASCE+ exosomes at Dr Medispa?

What does an AGE JET with ASCE+ exosomes treatment involve?
You should allow between 45 and 60 minutes for your AGE JET and exosome treatment if you seek full facial rejuvenation. Some areas, such as the knees, elbows, and around the eyes, require significantly less time.
For treatments using higher energy settings, we’ll apply a topical numbing cream before your AGE JET procedure, which may take 30 to 40 minutes to take effect. You’ll not need this if you have opted for the ‘lower energy, more treatment sessions’ option.
The device will glide across your skin, and you may hear a slight ‘clicking’ sound, accompanied by a sensation similar to an elastic band being lightly snapped against your skin. However, this sensation should not be painful.
Once the treatment is complete, the ASCE+ liquid exosomes will be applied to your skin, and you should aim to keep these on for at least four to six hours following your treatment.
Should I choose a high or low energy treatment?
AGE JET treatments can be customised to suit your individual needs and utilise these energy levels.
- The low-energy treatment (the plasma facial) enhances skin permeability, increasing the effectiveness of topical treatments and helping control bacteria to improve active acne symptoms. This treatment is also well-suited for melasma, sensitive skin, and superficial skin resurfacing for anti-ageing.
- Medium-energy treatments (plasma regeneration) can significantly enhance the appearance of ageing signs, skin laxity, fine lines and wrinkles, texture, pore size, and age spots. Even one treatment can yield effective results; however, a series of three treatments is often recommended for more significantly visible results.
- Higher-energy treatments (deep resurfacing) provide results comparable to fully ablative treatments while requiring less downtime than options such as CO2 lasers. You’ll experience the advantages of lower-energy treatments alongside an improvement in your skin’s texture, tone and elasticity.
Are there any side effects?
The cosmetic downtime you may experience will vary based on the strength of the treatment and the condition of your skin. You might notice a ‘bronzing effect’ along with some dryness or peeling, which should resolve within a few days.
Generally, most patients experience a social downtime of four to ten days, and many can resume normal activities on the same day or the following day after treatment. It is worth noting that for a few days following your treatment, your skin will become more permeable, enhancing the effectiveness of topical skincare. This can accelerate healing while the physiological improvements from your treatment continue.
When can I expect to see results from my AGE JET and ASCE+ exosome treatment?
You should notice tighter skin immediately after your treatment. In the weeks and months following your initial course, the skin will resurface as the regeneration process takes effect. Over time, your skin will appear healthier, firmer, younger, and more radiant.
The optimal outcome will vary depending on your treatment regimen and various factors, such as your age, overall health, and skin condition. Lifestyle choices, including smoking and excessive sun exposure, can influence the results.
Nonetheless, clinical studies have demonstrated that the effects of neocollagenesis can last for over a year following treatment, leading to long-term benefits. This makes AGE JET with ASCE+ exosomes a durable and effective treatment for ageing and condition-affected skin.
Is an AGE JET treatment painful?
AGE JET offers a range of treatment intensity options. If you are considering a medium—to high-energy treatment, we can provide either a topical anaesthetic or, if you are particularly sensitive or anxious about discomfort, an injectable anaesthetic. A gel will be applied around your hairline to minimise the risk of hair singeing. Should this occur, the hair will regrow without any issues.
How many treatments will I need?
For our low-energy ‘plasma facial’ treatments, we typically recommend a course of three to six sessions, with intervals of four to six weeks between each treatment.
For medium-energy ‘plasma regeneration’ therapies, it is recommended to undergo a course of three treatments at intervals of four to six weeks.
The Deep Resurfacing Treatment is recommended as a one-off session. If it is repeated, please allow three months between treatments.
Annual maintenance treatments may be recommended as part of an ongoing plan to optimise skin health and achieve the youthful glow associated with a healthy complexion.
