Are You Ready for a Real Brow Raiser?

No, it’s not Moulin Rouge on ice (although that would be incredible)- it’s time to spill the tea on the best non-surgical eyebrow lift treatments. That’s right, through my years of aesthetic practice I’ve come to know a thing or two about effective treatments to open up around the eyes without going under the knife-it helps you feel awake and refreshed- so let’s get into it.

Grooming is fundamental

First, it goes without saying, you need to get those brows threaded on the regular honey. You’d be surprised how a good eyebrow thread can effectively give the illusion of higher brows- check me out two weeks after my latest brow groom.

Be sure to hit up a reputable practitioner with stellar reviews- check out their before and afters to ensure they are the right person for you. My golden rule- NEVER let ANYONE wax above the brow, you want to always keep the upper hairs in tact, to give the illusion of a lift.

Toxin Two Areas

This treatment is a personal fave of mine and many of my clients! Toxin is injected into the muscles that pull your eyebrows down on expression- the Glabellar Complex and the Obicularis Occuli- relaxing them temporarily. This reduces frown and smile lines, whilst giving a beautiful brow lift and opens up around your eyes.

Conversely, Toxin treatment of the Frontalis muscle to smooth forehead lines needs to be carefully considered- not everybody is a candidate for this. The reason being, it’s the only muscle that pulls your brows up. Overtreat it, and your brows might drop, a condition known as eyebrow ptosis.

My personal preference is to treat my frown lines and around my eyes with toxin for a brow lift and I opt for skin boosters and micro needling to keep my forehead smooth. This is because I have a petite forehead which increases the risk of brow ptosis.

Supercharge with Sofwave

For those in mid-40s to 50s, combining your Toxin brow lift with a Sofwave treatment is a game changer. It will maximise your toxin results and extend them. But how? Sofwave harnesses next-generation ultrasound technology to stimulate collagen and elastin production deep within the skin, providing a natural lift over 2-3 months. A controlled multi-center study in the USA involving 80 patients showed amazing results: 80% of patients experienced an eyebrow lift, and 84.5% saw improvements in lax skin under the chin and neck. High rates of satisfaction were noted at 3 month follow up REF1. What I love about this treatment is it’s suitable for all skin types, has zero downtime and targets multiple areas including the eyelids and neck. Oh and it’s also FDA approved.

Thread Treatments

For significant laxity, thread treatments may be an option to lift your brows. Threads inserted under the skin provide support and lift, with results lasting around 1-2 years. A study published in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology REF2 found that thread lifts significantly improved eyebrow positioning and skin laxity, making them a great option for non-surgical facial rejuvenation in the right candidate.

Temple Fillers

If you have deep temples, replacing volume here with dermal filler is an effective way to support and lift the lateral brow, giving a more youthful appearance.

Peptides in Skincare

Add peptides like Argireline (aka Acetly Hexapeptide-8) to your skincare routine to target signs of ageing such as skin laxity around the eyes. They take 3-6 months to work and require religious daily use. Ensure the serum you use contains low dalton molecules for effective penetration.
