Can I have FaceTite™?
FaceTite™ is typically used to reduce the signs of ageing, tighten loose skin and remove fatty deposits in many areas of the face. What happens during the treatment?
To ensure that you are as comfortable as possible throughout the treatment, FaceTite™ is performed under a local anaesthetic. Dr. Somji will insert the specially developed cannula in to the area of concern. The device then heats the chosen area to a desired temperature using localised radiofrequency technology. Any excess fat is then removed.
Is there any downtime?
You may feel some slight discomfort and experience some swelling and bruising for a few days after your treatment but this is normal and to be expected. You can take arnica tablets a week in advance of your treatment to minimise bruising. Expect to rest for a few days afterwards so that your body can heal properly.
When will I see FaceTite™ results?
You should see some results immediately following your FaceTite™ treatment and then further improvement in the weeks that follow; new collagen and elastin forms due to the radiofrequency technology, but this process takes a little time. Initially there may be some swelling but this should subside, usually after day 3.
How long do the results of FaceTite™ last?
Most people see a 40% reduction in skin laxity and an overall improvement in skin quality as new collagen forms. Your results can vary but can last years as opposed to months with this treatment. Your lifestyle choices and your approach to good skin care, a healthy diet and exercise regime will all have an influence on the longevity of your results and the quality of your skin.
