Soprano ICE laser hair removal
At Dr MediSpa we use Soprano ICE, a multi-wave laser treatment capable of treating I-IV Fitzpatrick skin types.
This pain-free solution enables patients to significantly reduce the growth of their unwanted hair in around 3 to 6 sessions.
Both men and women can have this treatment and many patients can enjoy hair-free skin for up to a year after the initial course.
How does Soprano ICE work?
The Soprano Ice laser gradually heats the dermis to a temperature that effectively kills hair follicles but does not damage the skin.
We use either a 755nm Alex laser or an 810nm Diode laser to precisely target the pigment in the hair but not in the surrounding skin. The pigment in the hair heats up and destroys the hair follicle.
The hair is naturally lost and does not re-grow.
Before Soprano ICE laser treatment
Before starting the procedure, we ask you to shave the treatment area and remove any creams or gels from this area of your skin.
You shouldn’t use any fake tans before treatment, as your skin needs to be its natural colour.
During Soprano ICE laser treatment
The treatment itself will feel rather like a hot stone massage. You will feel a warming sensation on your skin, but it shouldn’t hurt.
How long the procedure last will vary, depending on the treatment area.

After Soprano Ice laser treatment
After your initial sessions, we recommend that you return once a year for a ‘top up’. This will help to make sure you maintain your smooth, hair-free skin.
It is worth bearing in mind that each patient can respond differently to treatments. You may need more – or even fewer – of the recommended sessions for your specific concern.
The cost of the treatment depends on the area to be treated. But as most people need several sessions, we do make concessions for multiple treatments.
